2007/12/30   Answering my email in public
It occurs to me that some of the things I said in replies to recent email might be of interest to some more of you, so:

If you tried registering for the forum but never got your activation email, check to see if it got filtered as spam. If you still can't find it, email me and I'll activate your account.

And:

There is an RSS feed of Station V3, at http://www.stationv3.com/comic.xml.

Also:

Someone is around the corner from my house with something that has a very loud engine - like a snowmobile, except there really isn't enough snow for that right now. It's very annoying.

(Okay, that last one wasn't really a reply to anybody's email. But it could have been!)

Two new bonuses up today - The first one is a sprite strip in which one of the rumormongers isn't ready for Holiday #11, and the second one is a very bad translation of today's comic. Thanks for voting!

2007/12/14   This week's bonuses
It's been a week since I changed the voting bonuses, so it's time for some new ones! The first one today is an alternate version of today's strip (alternate versions are still leading in the favorite bonus poll!), and the second one is a sprite strip in which Floyd still has some glitching left to do. Thank You to everyone who's been voting, and if you have a bonus request, you can post it here on the forum!

A little bit of news that has nothing to do with the comic - after being nominated three years in a row, The Dave Clark Five will finally be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame!

2007/12/10   More about the book

As you can see in the photo above, Ebb is enjoying reading a copy of An Experimental Space Pod Visits Station V3! He's even got two extra copies just in case something happens to the first one. He thinks it would be nice if everyone had a copy!

(He's right, you know!)

I'm pretty happy with the way the book turned out, considering all the file had to go through to finally get uploaded! I had the original files for most of the strips I used (a few of them I re-scanned), but a lot of them needed to be tweaked a little to line up properly on the pages, and I started putting the book together over a year ago, on a different computer. The files survived the death of that computer, and I continued on this one, getting a prototype version of the book printed earlier this year. I liked the way it turned out, but I had a few things to change and/or add... A couple months later (and some hardware upgrades, and a switch from Windows XP to Linux), and it's finally done. Hopefully when I start putting together the next one, it won't be as complicated!

If any of you were thinking of ordering it and wanted it in time for Christmas, it'd probably be best to order it soon - according to Lulu's holiday deadlines, the closer it gets to Christmas Eve, the more expensive the shipping options are to get it on time. I know some of you have ordered it already - let me know what you think of it when you get it!

2007/12/07   It goes beep
Two new bonus strips are up today - At TopWebcomics, a bad translation of today's strip where what Floyd says makes even less sense, and at buzzComix, a strip that appears as though it might be defective, since all it is is the ship that's been flying around the planet lately flying around the planet. (Oh, and it also goes beep.) Thanks for voting!

2007/12/05   Temporal anomaly bonus!
Two sprite strips are up today as this month's first voting bonuses - the first one is an alternate version of today's strip (in sprite form), and the second one has some further thoughts on the current rumor! Sort of. Thanks for voting!
