A Poll

Saturday, January 15th, 2011

In the conversation following the “Years in Review” post, people have mentioned trying to get other people to read Station V3, finding Station V3 through the “It’s a Monolith!” ad I’ve run for it (based on this strip) – so how did YOU first find Station V3?

(Edit – Poll closed! Thanks for your replies.)

How did you first find Station V3?

  • The “It’s a monolith!” ad (44%, 72 Votes)
  • Link from another comic (34%, 55 Votes)
  • Other (10%, 17 Votes)
  • An ad for V3 other than “It’s a monolith!” (6%, 10 Votes)
  • Link from a blog (2%, 4 Votes)
  • A comic voting site (like TopWebcomics) (2%, 3 Votes)
  • A comic listing site (like (1%, 2 Votes)
  • Link from a forum (1%, 1 Votes)
  • Twitter/Myspace/Facebook/etc. (0%, 0 Votes)
  • Stumbleupon/Reddit/etc. (0%, 0 Votes)

Total Voters: 164

Speaking of option 9 in the poll, there’s a new voting bonus strip up today (first one of the year!) – A sprite strip in which reality’s gone a little funny.

And in other news, there’s a new episode of PodWarp 1999 up now, recorded earlier this week!

New PodWarp!

Saturday, October 30th, 2010

If “recorded in 2008 and not released until now” counts as new, then there’s a new episode of PodWarp 1999 up now!

(If not, then there’s an episode recorded in 2008 and not released until now up now!)

Pointing you to other Places

Saturday, August 7th, 2010

I’ve got a few places to point you to today… The first is TopWebcomics, where there’s another new sprite strip voting bonus, in which Morty follows up on Ebb’s conversation with the Plant!

PodWarp 1999 has a new site up , and a number of the past episodes (including the most recent one, which you may or may not have heard already, depending on whether you downloaded it from the forum) – next stop, new episodes! Or at least the rest of the old ones!

Meanwhile, over at PC Weenies, the Rumormonger with a hat can be seen enjoying my copy of the Rebootus Maximus book!

Apparently a lot of you enjoyed going through the One Small Step archives when my guest strip went up last month – and now it’s being updated with new strips again!

As long as I’m pointing you to other people’s comics, why not give BlueStar Blues a try? It’s a fun story about a bunch of space pirates and their abducted human.

And since I don’t just want to point you to other people’s comics, check out today’s Z7!

…And since I don’t just want to point you to other sites, check out what was going on here last time August 7 was a Saturday! :)

New Stuff

Saturday, June 12th, 2010

There’s a new episode of PodWarp 1999 available now at the temporary episode archive I put up on the PodWarp forum! (Well, recorded last year… But nobody ever heard it, so still new! And it includes the full PodWarp crew!)

Also, there’s the rough sketch version of Monday’s comic up now as a new voting bonus at TopWebcomics – the idea for the strip came to me after I was done drawing and was falling asleep, and I figured I’d better get up and sketch it quick before I forgot it! The final version actually wound up pretty close to what I wrote then. (And now you can vote and see it for comparison!)

And Another Thing…

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

I bought the new Hitchhiker’s Guide book on Monday… For whatever reason I haven’t finished it yet (ordinarily I would have read the whole thing that night), but I suppose maybe it’s a good sign that when I picked it back up I noticed I had stopped at page 42? I don’t think it’s going to be my favorite Hitchhiker’s Guide book (which is actually So Long And Thanks For All The Fish), but it’s not bad so far.

In other news, there’s a new voting bonus up today! It’s a sprite strip in which Neap tries to get Linton to rescue Violet and the Plant.

And there’s also a new PodWarp 1999 episode up now! (Or at least one you haven’t heard before!) Mark Mekkes and I discuss holidays in science fiction (last December).
