Guest Strip at One Small Step
There's a guest strip I drew up today at One Small Step!
For those of you (anybody?) unfamiliar with the comic, it's a sci-fi comedy about a guy named Doug who accidentally creates a hyperspace generator in a prototype minivan, and winds up traveling with some aliens he meets on the first planet he crashes into. (I could go into more detail here, but it'd be a lot more fun for you if you just go read the archives there!) I've been reading it since the beginning, and recently Joe Kandra, the creator of the strip, had some computer problems and work issues come up, and put out a call for guest strips. Hopefully new strips will be on the way soon, but in the meantime, there are several years of strips in the archives to read (or re-read)!

A Few Random Things

When I intially wrote today's strip, it was going to be Mr. Maintenance Engineer talking to Morty in the last panel. But then when I was drawing it, I decided to make it Linton instead. But then after I scanned it in, I decided the original dialogue wasn't quite right for Linton:
Not completely wrong for him, I suppose, but the slight change I made before I posted it seems more in character for him!
In other news, I've signed up for a Formspring account, for any random questions anyone might want to ask me and/or any answers I might give! (You can also follow me on Twitter to see at least some of those answers.)
Finally for today, there's a new voting bonus up, in which the rumormonger with a hat gives Morty his thoughts on the plan to rescue Neap from the Trees of the Celestial Orb.

Make Your Own Station!
Not completely wrong for him, I suppose, but the slight change I made before I posted it seems more in character for him!

V3 reader Tyler Robbins recently sent some interesting fan art - a PDF of a paper model of the station! Download your copy, print it out, get out the scissors and tape/glue, and make your station today! (If you like the way yours comes out, post a picture on the forum!)

There's a new episode of PodWarp 1999 available now at the temporary episode archive I put up on the PodWarp forum! (Well, recorded last year... But nobody ever heard it, so still new! And it includes the full PodWarp crew!)
Also, there's the rough sketch version of Monday's comic up now as a new voting bonus at TopWebcomics - the idea for the strip came to me after I was done drawing and was falling asleep, and I figured I'd better get up and sketch it quick before I forgot it! The final version actually wound up pretty close to what I wrote then. (And now you can vote and see it for comparison!)

Today is Dialogue Free Comics Day - Station V3 couldn't really take part, being in the middle of the annual guest week, but instead, Ebb's Children has actually updated!

Guest Week Continues

I hope you're all enjoying the guest strip week! I know I am... And it's not over yet! But I'm not just taking the week off. I'm working on a few things, Z7 and Silence in the Darkness on Q16 are still on their regular schedule, there's a new voting bonus up (by request), and there's a guest strip I drew up at the comic Anything But Real Life.
Maybe next week when everything gets back to normal I can take it easy... :)
