And Another Thing…

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

I bought the new Hitchhiker’s Guide book on Monday… For whatever reason I haven’t finished it yet (ordinarily I would have read the whole thing that night), but I suppose maybe it’s a good sign that when I picked it back up I noticed I had stopped at page 42? I don’t think it’s going to be my favorite Hitchhiker’s Guide book (which is actually So Long And Thanks For All The Fish), but it’s not bad so far.

In other news, there’s a new voting bonus up today! It’s a sprite strip in which Neap tries to get Linton to rescue Violet and the Plant.

And there’s also a new PodWarp 1999 episode up now! (Or at least one you haven’t heard before!) Mark Mekkes and I discuss holidays in science fiction (last December).

V3 is 6!

Six years ago, Floyd thought a plant might cheer the station up, and Ebb listened to him make that observation. Now Floyd’s been rebuilt as a rumorbot, Ebb has been replaced with Neap, the original Plant is off in an alternate universe, and the station is apparently at the bottom of a swamp on a planet known as “The Celestial Orb With Soil On It” – and who knows what’s going to happen next?

(Well, of course I do, but I’m not saying yet!)

I hope everyone’s enjoying this year’s guest week, with contributions (so far) from Aaron Lewis, Robert Cook, and Wendy Wood!

In other news, Ebb’s Children actually updated today, and there’s a new episode of PodWarp 1999 up!

Strange coincidence, update, random news

Saturday, March 21st, 2009

In yesterday’s strip (3/20), a rumormonger added two and two to get 4,376. I had considered several other numbers – like 22, for example – before deciding on a number that included the answer and the phone exchange of somewhere I used to live. Coincidentally, as pointed out by a reader, the asteroid 4376 Shigemori was discovered on 3/20/1987 – 22 years ago. Maybe I meant to do that?

In other site news, I’ve updated the links page, and added another page with links to fellow Palace in the Sky comics.

And in other non-Station V3 webcomic news:

Robert Cook’s comic The Mansion of E recently hit the 2,000 strip mark. Congratulations, Robert!

While there haven’t been any new episodes of PodWarp 1999 uploaded since January, it’s not dead yet! There are more episodes on the way. If you have any suggestions for a future episode, you can post them on the PodWarp forum. Meanwhile, Mark Mekkes and I were among the people on the latest live episode of The Gigcast.

And speaking of PodWarp, fellow PodWarper Ben Paddon has put out a Jump Leads book! Fun stuff.

A thing to see, A thing to hear

Tuesday, December 9th, 2008

The thing to see: The rumormongers have made an appearance in a guest strip I drew that’s up now at Webcomics Inc High School – doing what they do best!

The thing to hear: There’s a new episode up at PodWarp 1999! We interview Chris Layfield and Pascalle Lepas, the creators of Zap!

V3: 1999

Saturday, November 15th, 2008

Today’s strip is the 1,999th strip in the archives! (So guess what number tomorrow’s is?)

In other 1999-related news, Episode 27 of PodWarp 1999 went up last week (with guest David C. Simon of Crimson Dark)!

In unrelated news, I’ve made the RSS feed a little more visible (the feed itself hasn’t changed, but now there’s a permanent front page link for it), and added my Twitter feed to the front page.
