Some Quark Comics/PodWarp 1999 news… We’ve got a new member! David Davis of Cosmic Dash has joined us. You’ll be hearing him on some future PodWarp episodes. In the meantime, check out Cosmic Dash, if you’re not already reading it! And while you’re doing that, you can listen to some of the PodWarp episodes that have gone up recently (including one with Steve Troop on as a guest) if you haven’t heard them recently – or even if you have!

In some Station V3-related news, the first spinoff reached a milestone today… Z7‘s 1000th strip just went up!

And in other Station V3-related news, there’s a new voting bonus up today! Vote for Station V3 at TopWebcomics today and see an alternate version of today’s alternate universe strip!

Robert Cook’s comic The Mansion of E recently turned 8 years old, and I sent a guest strip over to help celebrate the occasion! Congratulations, Robert!

Eight years ago the first Station V3 strip went up. Floyd thought a plant might cheer the station up then, too!

Another Sci-Fi Webcomic Birthday

Wednesday, May 4th, 2011

One Small Step by Joe Kandra just turned five years old!

Here’s what I said about it when I did a guest strip there last year:

“For those of you (anybody?) unfamiliar with the comic, it’s a sci-fi comedy about a guy named Doug who accidentally creates a hyperspace generator in a prototype minivan, and winds up traveling with some aliens he meets on the first planet he crashes into. (I could go into more detail here, but it’d be a lot more fun for you if you just go read the archives there!)”

(And that’s still true!) :)

Next Month

Saturday, April 30th, 2011

Station V3’s 8th birthday is coming up next month (on the 6th), to be followed by the annual guest strip week!

In the meantime, there’s a new voting bonus up at TopWebcomics – a sprite strip, with a topic taken from the bonus requests topic on the forum. (Which has been pretty active lately! Check it out, even if only to vote in the favorite robot poll.)
