Very similar to their regular universe [[rumormongers|counterparts]], their main purpose seems to be finding and spreading rumors about any subject that interests them. They appear very similar to the regular universe rumormongers, except where most of the regular universe rumormongers are clean-shaven and only one or two have beards, most of the Alternate rumormongers have beards, with only one or two being clean-shaven.

The Monolith is a black rectangle that has the ability to seemingly do anything via dimensional shifts. When the [[space eel]] plugged the [[5-light year long extension cord]] into the monolith it caused the entire [[V3's solar system|solar system]] to end up inside the Monolith. Since then another Monolith has show up on the [[Second planet|Gas Giant's]] moon, which when [[Morty]] called defective also caused the entire solar system including the other Monolith to be inside it.

A large portion of there language is biased on the phrases "This is a very nice [thing] we are taking over" "Yes it certainly is" and "Very nice". Linton often joins the pirates when he loses his job as security officer, although more recently he became security officer again after loosing his job as a Pirate.
