I saw a bit of the other Idol show (you know, the one on TV where people attempt to sing) the other day - generally, it seems like whenever one of the contestants attempts a song I actually like, the results are not good. And unfortunately, that was certainly the case on Monday when Roy "Treat Her Right" Head's son attempted The Moody Blues' "Nights in White Satin." (I could also mention how many people seem to think the song is called "Knights in White Satin," but that's a different subject.) I didn't expect it to come close to the original (and it didn't) - but it could at least have been in tune! (Though it was still one of the high points of what I saw... Hopefully he'll stick around and improve. Maybe get a chance to sing "Treat Her Right.")

Maybe they should try a Psychedelic theme night this year. The results might at least be entertaining! :)

Getting back to Rumormonger Idol, in today's first bonus strip, the judges attempt to explain why Contestant 2 made it through to Round 2 and Contestant 1 got kicked off, and in the second, the sprite rumormonger with a hat also has some thoughts on the elimination. Thanks for voting!
